- 8-Week Full-Time Contract | Immediate Start in June
- National Payroll Environment | ADP Experience Essential
- Excellent Hourly Rate | Melbourne CBD Location
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established professional services organisation on an 8-week contract basis, commencing in June 2026.
Working within a collaborative payroll function, you will provide long service leave coverage while taking ownership of key payroll processing responsibilities across a national employee base. This is a hands-on payroll role suited to someone who can confidently step into a busy environment and operate with minimal training.
This opportunity would suit an experienced payroll professional who enjoys fast-paced payroll environments and has prior exposure to ADP.
The Challenge
Reporting into the broader Finance function, your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end payroll processing support across a fortnightly pay cycle
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll changes within ADP Payforce
- Managing leave processing, salary sacrifice and purchased leave arrangements
- Processing casual timesheets and payroll adjustments
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders nationally
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and payroll administration tasks
- Assisting with payroll reporting and general payroll compliance activities
The organisation operates as an ADP Payforce serviced client, meaning the internal payroll team manages the preparation, onboarding/offboarding, timesheets and payroll inputs, while ADP facilitates the final payment processing.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Previous payroll experience within a medium-to-large organisation
- Strong ADP Payforce experience is essential
- Ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced payroll environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
- Immediate or short notice availability preferred
