The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia’s largest transportation groups, who are located in Sydney’s Northern suburbs. They are growing rapidly and have recently introduced new transportation services in rural areas of Australia.

The Challenge
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the timely and accurate payment of pay runs for all employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for 800 – 1,000 employees
• Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to a team of 5
• Become the 2iC to the Payroll Manager as required
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, such as HR, finance, and department managers, to ensure smooth coordination regarding payroll matters
• Lead in internal and external audits of payroll processes
• Assist the Payroll Manager with developing and maintaining payroll policies, procedures to be in line with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organisational objectives 
• Act as a subject matter expert and assist team members with complex payroll-related inquiries or issues  
• Maintain payroll system integrity 

The Expertise 
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 6+ years of experience in payroll, with at least 2 years of direct managerial experience. 
• Experience with complex EBAs / EAs
• A high attention to detail, strong work ethic as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and operate efficiently in a high complex environment
