The Opportunity

Our client is a recognised international organisation that is led by some of the brightest and sharpest business leaders in Australia and abroad. This privately owned group is known to attract high calibre talent in the Australian market due to the progressive growth they have experienced locally and overseas, as well as the collegiate working environment offered to their staff.

The ideal candidate will be able to complete the day-to-day finance functions, project accounting, and performance monitoring for one of the key funds as well as the underlying renewable energy investment companies embedded within. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with renewable energy investments, within a close knit, social team.

The Challenge

As the Portfolio Accountant, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and deliver regular financial reporting for portfolio entities.
• Support consolidated reporting, board materials, and internal performance insights.
• Partner with operations to monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and interpret large data sets to support financial analysis and improvements.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities across the portfolio.
• Manage transactional and project accounting, ensuring appropriate controls.
• Support statutory reporting, audits, and ongoing process improvements.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Likely you are CA qualified with circa 4-6 years’ experience
• Ideally, you have trained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm within Business Services. You may still be working in Chartered or perhaps you have already transitioned into industry. 
• A demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport with employees, stakeholders and business partners. 
• High levels of initiative and a proactive attitude. 
• Experience in funds management industry is desirable, not required.
