The Opportunity
Our client is one of Australia’s leading corporates in their sector. Consistently growing via acquisition, they are quickly becoming one of Australia’s highly sought after employers.
During a time of significant growth this position is pivotal in assisting with the a Group wide Oracle Fusion implementation, acting as the Procurement expert for the project.
The Challenge
- My client is embarking on a full procurement and sourcing transformation process, including moving from multiple legacy procurement systems to Oracle Cloud Fusion (Procurement & Sourcing).
- The Procurement Lead will be a key contributor to the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, responsible for translating business needs into functional requirements, supporting solution design, testing, and change management
- Understand and translate business needs and user stories into implementable functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to capture and validate requirements.
- Model and document procurement and sourcing end to end processes to support solution design and
configuration. - Participate in the development of test scenarios and scripts for system testing and UAT.
- Contribute to the change management plan, including communication strategies and training materials.
- Assist with data migration planning, cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Build strong relationships with procurement and business stakeholders to ensure trust and collaboration.
- Provide regular updates and insights to project leadership and governance forums.
The Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.
- CIPS or equivalent procurement certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes including sourcing, supplier management, contract lifecycle, and procurement analytics.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP (or similar ERP platforms) is highly desirable, especially experience with Procurement modules and EPM.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into system requirements and configurations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in change management and user engagement during system implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
