The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced trusts professional to join a highly successful firm. Our client has established itself as a leader in their industry, demonstrating strong growth over a long history of delivering exceptional services.
The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing and supportive team. This position is well-suited to someone who is looking to step up into a Senior/2IC role within a national trusts team.
The Challenge
Reporting to the National Manager, your responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:
- Lead day-to-day trust accounting workflow, providing guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Oversee and approve trust receipts, transfers, payments, PEXA settlements, and controlled money transactions in line with LPUL and firm policies.
- Manage complex matters including multi-party settlements, cross-jurisdictional transactions, and high-value client dealings.
- Maintain financial accuracy through trust-to-office transfers, reconciliations, and statutory record keeping.
- Coordinate trust account audits and prepare required regulatory reports and lodgements.
- Build strong relationships with partners, practice groups, and corporate services, offering clear advice on trust processes.
- Deliver training and support to staff, promoting consistent best-practice trust accounting across the firm.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- 4+ years’ experience in an accounts position in a professional services firm
- Experience surrounding trusts and PEXA settlements will be highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal departments and external parties
- Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving discrepancies and improving processes
