The Opportunity

Our client is a private equity-backed global software company on a rapid growth trajectory. Its scalable SaaS platform is trusted by enterprises and governments worldwide, underpinned by deep technical expertise and a values driven culture of integrity, determination, and respect.

This Senior Accounts Payable Officer role is responsible for coordinating the Accounts Payable function and providing comprehensive support to the financial operations team.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Full responsibility for the accounts payable function, including review and verification of invoices and supplier reconciliations, process batch payments, ensure timely payments, manage prepayments, and maintain accurate records
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee the corporate card program, monitor usage, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure robust internal controls across the AP function, including approval workflows, and fraud prevention measures
• Manage the expense reimbursement process, including review and verification of expense reports and tax invoices, timely reimbursement, and maintenance of accurate records
• Develop and maintain positive, effective and efficient relationships with external suppliers and vendors
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports when required

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 3+ years’ experience in accounts payable within medium sized corporation
• Working knowledge of relevant accounting principles
• Demonstrated experience in supplier and accounts reconciliations
• High level of computer literacy (advanced skills with Excel) 
• Experience with accounting software (ideally Xero or NetSuite)
