The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AR/Billing Officer to join a fast-growing business with stable revenues and recent acquisitions. This role will sit within a large & friendly Group accounting function and there will be opportunity for progression. The Accounts Receivable team is made up of 4 and you will have end to end responsibilities for one entity.
This role combines billings, accounts receivable and debt collection – noting the debt collection is not high volume and from large organisations. Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience and display initiative, prioritisation and good time management skills.
The Challenge
Reporting into the Accounts Receivable Team Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and processing monthly invoices, statements, and reconciliations
- Monitoring overspend and exceptions to facilitate escalations
- Relationship management with clients and government departments
- AR reporting, follow ups and prompt debt collection
- Direct debit administration and stakeholder management
- Contributing to improvements and automations in the billing and finance systems
- Calculation of month-end expense accruals, prepayments, processing general ledger transactions and account reconciliations
- Supporting the financial month-end processes, reporting, and audits
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- 5+ years’ relevant experience, coming from accounts receivable, collections and/or billings. Healthcare/NDIS experience is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrated through building and developing productive and collaborative working relationships
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft products, including Excel
- Desire to contribute to a friendly & collaborative team environment.
