The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to work in the commercial finance team of a top ASX consumer goods business. The role is responsible for business partnering with key business units and providing commentary, detailed budgets and forecasts to the GMs of the division. You will continue to drive commercial insights through the use of dashboards and complex financial modelling and presenting findings to the executive leadership team. 

The role will commenced on a contract with opportunity to transition to a long-term role. 

The Challenge

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: 

• Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager to provide key stakeholders and finance with tailored, strategic advice, business case support and performance reporting
• Analysed financial performance to identify key drivers and profitability opportunities for strategic decision-making
• Supported ad hoc analysis and value-add projects to improve processes
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes 
• Preparation of the monthly board packs and executive summary for the SLT

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are CA/CPA qualified with 5-7 years of total experience
• Ideally, you have consumer goods/retail/FMCG experience in a commercial team
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experienced in handling large data sets
• Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Commercially minded, with the ability to deeply understand business drivers
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence and challenge business processes to deliver optimal outcomes
