The Opportunity

Our client is a leading ASX-listed company with an impressive track record of year-on year growth. We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their head-office group accounting team. This is the perfect role for a working holiday visa, or an immediately available CA qualified resident with a background in Big 4 external audit at the Experienced Senior, Assistant Manager or Manager level. The role is broad and encompasses month-end and statutory reporting and compliance. The team has a social, collegiate culture with ongoing hybrid working.
 
The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and consolidated journal entries
• Lead internal and external audit process for year-end reporting, including information gathering and liaising with audit team to resolve issues as they arise
• Assist in planning and managing external reporting requirements, framework for all entities and the Group
• Assist the Accounting Policy and Advisory Leads in establishing and managing general accounting policies, procedures and standards
• Adding value by supporting with continuous improvement projects, such as creating templates and automating processes

The Expertise

Please apply for the position if you have the following:  

• At least 4 years’ experience in the finance team of a large, listed Group and, experience in External Audit, ideally with exposure to large, complex companies
• Good foundational understanding of financial accounting processes
• Attention to detail and ability to focus on quality work
