The Opportunity 

The business is a leading private equity-backed business operating within the tech industry, they have been experiencing exponential growth organically and through acquisitions and have a footprint that extends globally. They have an excellent reputation in the market and pride themselves on having a flexible and collaborative working environment.

The Senior Financial Accountant role is suited to a qualified CA/CPA. You may have commenced your career in mid-tier or Big 4 chartered firm looking to make your first move into industry, or you may be currently working in a Financial Accountant role. This role is suited to someone with the availability to commence at short notice. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your duties will include both financial control and management reporting, specifically:

• Prepare timely consolidated financial statements.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, including researching accounting issues and preparing position papers.
• Partner with the broader finance team to ensure the timely completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the external audit process, liaising with auditors and external advisors to facilitate efficient audit outcomes.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to key finance projects and initiatives.
• Help maintain a robust financial control environment through the review of key reconciliations and identification of potential risks and control issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to resolve accounting matters, enhance financial processes, and improve data integrity.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are CA/CPA qualified with 4-6 years’ experience.
• Ideally, you have trained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, and may have recently worked in a financial accounting position.
• Well versed understanding of the Australian Accounting Standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders.
