The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded, Melbourne-based company within the energy sector, currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. Due to growth in the internal audit function, they are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a newly created role. This role will primarily focus on IT audits.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Senior Manager Internal Audit, your primary responsibility will be executing the risk-based audit plan. Other key responsibilities include:  

• Executing internal audit strategies and providing planning and reporting
• Leading and conducting internal audits
• Supporting with the development and implementation of strategic risk-based audit plans, ensuring coverage of key business areas and identifying emerging risks
• Providing internal audit reports and presentations to senior management
• Managing co-sourced audits with third-party service providers
• Using data analytics and analysis to identify trends and providing insights on how to improve
• Building strong relationships across with stakeholders across the business, and driving a culture of open communication and collaboration

The Expertise

Please consider applying for this position if you meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Likely professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, IIA, CIA,
• Likely you have a background in professional services or a large corporate, and have had exposure to a range of audits which may include IT, Cyber, Operational
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with varying stakeholder groups
• Collaborative and team player
