The Opportunity

Our client is a leader in the healthcare industry and specialise in innovative solutions within their area of expertise. With a strong presence across multiple countries, the Group offers a range of advanced medical services. 

This is a newly created Senior Management Accountant opportunity where you will support the Financial Controller and oversee two Financial Accountants in a hybrid role. This is a 6 month contract due to a restructure and exciting period of change happening in the short-term. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will be split across management and financial accounting. An overview included below:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports 
• Assessment of financial performance and conducting detailed analysis of trends and variances against budget and forecast
• Oversee month-end process and ensure month-end reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner 
• Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant, and there is integrity and internal controls of financial data
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements and completion of year end audits
• Identify new processes and/or systems to improve productivity and/or make the business more efficient

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are CA / CPA qualified
• Well versed understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• You must have experience working within industry completing financial and management accounting duties 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as a leader as well as build rapport with all levels of stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work both autonomously and as a team
