The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone working within a tax function within Big 4 or a leading mid-tier firm and looking for their first in-house tax role. You will join a high performing team during an exciting period of transformation.
The Challenge
Reporting into the Tax Manager, you will be involved with tax compliance, reporting, advisory and risk management. Specifically you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of tax returns (income tax, BAS, FBT) and manage tax payments.
- Assist with tax provisions, reporting, and forecasting.
- Support CbC reporting, audits, and tax investigations.
- Liaise with external advisors and contribute to tax process improvements.
- Assist with acquisitions, divestments, and tax consolidations.
- Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Advise on income tax, FBT, GST, employment taxes, and transfer pricing.
- Monitor and report on tax law changes impacting the business.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- You are CA qualified, or obtain a Masters in Tax.
- Ideally, you have 3-6 years’ experience working in a corporate tax focussed role in a Big 4 or mid-tier chartered firm, and looking to make your first move into industry to an in-house tax role. Or, you may be working in an in-house role looking for a step up in a dynamic team.
- You are dynamic, ambitious, and have an interest in working in a fast-growing sector.
- A sound knowledge of tax concepts, compliance and reporting, specifically tax effect accounting and income tax.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of robust quality processes that must be upheld.
- You have excellent communication skills skills across all stakeholders.
