The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Advisor wanting to expand their skills and gain exposure in a high performing tax team.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Group Taxation Manager, this role will:

• Provide technical advice and support to the Corporate Office and business units within the Group
• Assist in the lodgement of the Group’s income tax returns, both in Australia and globally
• Provide tax advice in respect of a diverse range of businesses and commercial transactions, including potential M&A opportunities
• Ensure the Group is meeting all tax compliance obligations, including foreign and cross border tax issues in respect of the Group’s offshore businesses
• Provide dedicated support to tax teams within our businesses as required
• Assist the Group Taxation Manager and Lead, Taxation roles in managing, developing and mentoring team members at the Tax Advisor Level.
• Keep up to date with all taxation laws.

The Expertise

• At least 8 years taxation experience, across a broad range of income tax and other tax matters
• Experience in a similar role within a large advisory firm or corporate environment
• Exceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to positively influence key stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritise in a busy environment and adopt a pragmatic approach to ensure a quick turnaround when providing advice
• A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce
