The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available candidate to join a leading Australian consumer goods business as a Treasury Officer on a 6-month contract. This newly created role has arisen due to strong business growth and sits within a tight-knit Treasury team that is part of the broader Group Finance Division. The role offers variety, encompassing tender settlements, treasury operations, and insurance.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, your key responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Review and reconcile daily settlements and bank transactions across stores and online channels, investigating any variances with stakeholders. 
  • Manage invoicing, reporting, and settlement support for tender partners, as well as assisting with gift card reporting. 
  • Provide assistance to treasury operations and audit requirements, including cash flow support, banking administration, and internal/external audits.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and support the broader team with process improvements and their recent ERP implementation. 
  • Support with ad-hoc project work where required across the treasury team.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • Between 3-5 years’ in a similar role with strong knowledge of finance operations. 
  • Ideally, you have consumer goods/retail/FMCG experience in a listed or large corporate environment.
  • You are a confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • You have a proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and remain agile in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a proactive, can-do attitude with a strong willingness to support the team where required.
