The Opportunity
Our client is a successful food manufacturer that has demonstrated excellent ongoing business growth. The team is now seeking an accounts receivable professional, an opportunity which would be best suited to someone with receivable and/or collections experience aspiring to advance their career in a market-leading business.
As part of an established AR team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring precise and timely collection of customer payments. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the overall seamless operation of the AR function. The role will be based on site in the outer South-East suburbs.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the collection of payments from customers within specified terms
- Preparing accurate customer invoices, appropriately applying credit notes
- Completing accurate allocation of bank transactions to customer accounts
- Managing the accounts receivable inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Performing credit checks on customers and ensuring ongoing credit suitability of customers
- Preparing customer account reconciliations
- Assisting with relevant ad hoc projects
The Expertise
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Experience within an accounts receivable or collections position, familiarity with a widely used ERP system is an advantage
- The interpersonal and communication skills that would enable you to build good rapport with customers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Availability to work on-site in Melbourne’s South-East suburbs
