The Opportunity 
Our client is a leading property development company with a development book of approximately $2 billion in projects. They undertake exciting and large-scale projects within the real estate and renewable energy sectors. 

Our client is looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual with a strong background in accounting. This role will be a full-time or part-time position based in the CBD with flexible working hours. 

This role would ideally suit an individual who needs to work around school hours.

The Challenge
As a Company Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

• Month-end close and reporting process, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency and integrity
• Processing end-to-end payroll for internal employees
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations
• General ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Managing employee records, pay, holiday and sick leave (via Xero), timesheets and payslips
• Working with the external Group Accountant to lodge annual returns for all entities
• Preparation of tax calculations, including GST and BAS returns Corporate tax & FBT etc. and liaising with ATO and tax advisory

The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally, you are a CA/CPA, or working towards, with 3+ years of experience as a Company Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper. Preferably, you will have worked in the property industry and have a broad accounting skill-set.
• You must have a strong understanding of Xero.
• You will be a strong and friendly communicator and are comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
