The Opportunity
Our client is a growing, privately owned and highly successful Law Firm with a presence across Australia. The company has a strong history with a business model that has been successful over a long period and is also one of the more innovative and progressive businesses in the industry.
They have grown rapidly in recent years and as a result of this, there is an exciting opportunity for a senior payroll professional to join their tight knit finance team.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and communicating with a wide range of management and staff on a daily basis, your key responsibilities include the following:
- Managing a fortnightly payroll for approximately 1,000 employees and a monthly payroll for their senior partners.
- Supporting management with process improvement initiatives
- Completing legislative requirements including PAYG, Superannuation and WorkCover
- Interpreting and applying awards and contracts
- Working alongside the P&C, Finance, management and staff regarding all payroll related matters
- Calculating and maintaining leave balances
- Completing end of month/year processes and audit requirements
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- Processing pay runs larger than 500+ staff
- Experience in a professional services is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels in the business
