The Opportunity 

Our client is Private Equity backed and has grown to be one of Australia’s leading importers and distributors in their sector and are based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a key position within the finance team and would suit an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is eager to broaden their skill set and gain exposure to financial accounting and more complex month-end tasks.

The Challenge 

Reporting into the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:

• Checking and processing a high volume of invoices
• Reconciling accounts
• Providing assistance for all queries relating to invoice exceptions, payments and allocations
• Daily bank reconciliations & weekly cash reporting
• Posting and reconciling credit card transactions
• Supporting the team with the month end close, financial & management reporting & the year end audit
• Providing ad hoc support of the finance department where required

The Expertise

• Experience in a high volume accounts payable role, ideally within a product-based environment 
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills, solid systems knowledge 
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
