The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established professional services firm experiencing steady growth and expansion. Due to continued success, they are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to manage their financial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional to take ownership of financial processes in a dynamic and evolving environment. You will join a team of 4 and work ideally 20 – 30 hours per week.
  
The Challenge

Reporting to the Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the day-to-day reconciliations of personal entities and ensuring transactions are up to date.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support business planning
  • Ensuring compliance with tax obligations, including BAS, GST, and payroll tax reporting
  • Providing financial insights to support business decisions and improve efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and implementing best practices for financial management

The Expertise
  
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Cert IV, Diploma, or Degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, ideally in a commercial or SME environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment
