The Opportunity
Our client is a leading consumer goods business within the healthcare products industry. Backed by a renowned private-equity firm, they have undergone a strong period of growth and have successfully expanded to all the major states in Australia, growing both organically and through strategic acquisitions.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a fully or part-qualified CA/CPA professional with 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or analytical role or a similar position. This is an exception career move for a up and coming analyst looking to get into a vibrant and growing Australian business.
The Challenge
Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with detailed analysis of financial data to assess and improve the company’s performance, identifying trends and variances
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports for management that summarise business performance, including key metrics such as revenue growth, sales figures, profitability, and cost management
- Collaborate with various departments to assist with the annual budgets aligning them with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring proper resource allocation
- Review key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance against strategic goals, regularly reviewing these metrics to assess progress
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide financial insights that support their strategies and initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote collaboration and ensure that financial insights are effectively utilized across the organization
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification
- CPA/CA qualified or studying towards
- Broad skillset across commercial finance, financial analysis, and business partnering
- Experience working within an FMCG, wholesale, or retail business is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
