The Opportunity

This is a full time, permanent role for an experience accounts officer looking to join a close knit team. Our client is an Australian owned company who continue to excel in their sector. The work is fast paced and varied, with project based invoicing and lots of communication to the wider finance team. Located north of the CBD, this role will play a big part in a small finance team, taking control of the full accounts payable and accounts receivable process, while also assisting with banking, process improvements and ad hoc work. You will report into a high calibre Head of Finance who is happy to teach and add more responsibility to the role as you progress.
  
The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include: 

• Taking charge of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process. 
• Taking charge of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
• Maintaining relationships with clients and dealing with enquiries.
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting. 
• Assisting with GL reconciliations, vendor statement reconciliations and end of month journals.
• Being the fist point of contact for all queries relating to invoice exceptions, payments and allocations.
• Completing the full Banking process. 

The Expertise

Please consider applying to this position if you possess the following:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• High attention to detail and a great work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Systems experience with Xero/MYOB (or similar) as well project tracking software preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
• Adaptable, flexible and open to continual improvement.
