The Opportunity
 
Our client is a growing, profitable, complex, multinational business with a head office in Melbourne. Due to some overlapping leave in the team, they are looking for some additional support over the busy period. 

Focused on best practice, this position will assist the accurate and timely managing the financial reporting function in the group accounting team. You will play a key role working closely with the Financial Controller.

The Challenge

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Month-end reporting activities, including timely and accurate general ledger close and balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
• Providing support and leadership for the accounts officers across regional sites
• Assisting the Financial Controller with various regular and ad-hoc management reporting and analysis, partnering with operational and commercial business leaders to provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Assisting with the preparation of weekly / monthly cash flow and treasury reports for Group Finance and providing analysis on various treasury and working capital matters.
• Assist with other ad-hoc finance projects as required. This might include FP&A and Management Accounts. 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified with 3-6 years experience in an Audit or Business Services team at a Big 4 or Mid Tier firm.
• Alternatively, you may be already working in an industry financial accounting role at a large, complex business looking for a logical next step.
• You will be a strong communicator and have proven experience leading high performing teams.
• You will be driven to progress your career in a growing corporate.
