The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Accountant to join a privately owned success story that is the clear Australian leader in their field. Growing organically and via acquisition they have a reputation for product and service excellence and being at the forefront of their industry. You will join a close knit team with a supportive and diverse culture. 

This role will assist the team in this exciting period of growth. With lots of process improvements and ongoing system automations, they are looking for an energetic and take-charge Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a broad role, on one hand assisting senior leadership with month-end duties and reporting; while still holding down the fort in the transactional space while more automations are underway. Once these automations kick in you will be able to get involved in other areas of the business. 

The Challenge

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Processing month-end closing activities
• Assisting the broader finance team with the yearly audit 
• Trouble shooting and processing of invoices, in particular complex multi-currency ones. 
• Processing of bank reconciliations, stock adjustments, insurance claims and other ad hoc tasks. 
• Assisting the Financial Controller and CFO as required.
• Assisting with other ad-hoc finance projects as required. This might include systems and technology improvements. 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Full CA/CPA qualification. You might have started your career in an industry role, or potentially a professional services environment.  
• A systems savvy skill set and process improvement mindset 
• High levels of initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
