The Opportunity

This is a standout opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-scaling PE-backed SaaS business with operations across ANZ, the UK and Europe.
  
In addition to running the core finance team, you’ll get involved in plenty of interesting projects around systems and scaling finance processes. The role has good breadth and will evolve as the business grows. Due to planned business growth, we expect this to be an exciting & fast-paced role where your big ideas will be heard, and you’ll learn a lot, too.

The Challenge

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in building a future-proof finance function. You’ll bring rigor to reporting, uplift processes, and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Some of your core responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the month-end close, general ledger and group reporting
• Driving improvements in billing, revenue recognition, and collections
• Overseeing AP, payroll, fixed assets and treasury operations
• Managing international tax compliance (GST, VAT, FBT, R&D, etc.)
• Cash flow management & forecasting
• Preparing board-ready financials and supporting external audit
• Developing insightful management reports to influence business decisions
• Mentoring and developing a small but high-performing team
• Identifying opportunities to streamline systems and automate workflows

The Expertise

Please apply for this position if you possess the following:

• CA / CPA qualified
• Possibly you trained in Audit or Business Services, and have then gained relevant experience as a Financial Controller in growing business (sub $100M is perfect)
• Experience in international reporting ANZ/UK/EU is great to have
• Experience in SaaS, software or within a PE-backed environment very nice to have, though we are open to candidates from other industries provided you’ve worked in a high-growth environment
• Proven ability to deliver process and system improvements with measurable results
• Note: The client is based just north of Melbourne’s CBD – you’ll need a car to get there
