The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity to join the leadership team of a high-growth, PE-backed professional services firm undergoing expansion and transformation.

This Head of Finance role will combine strategic leadership with hands-on financial and operational responsibility. You will drive analytics, optimise performance, oversee core finance functions, and play an important role in commercial and strategic decision-making.

The Challenge
This is a high-impact role for an ambitious and commercially minded finance executive looking to be hands on and drive meaningful change. You will oversee financial operations while partnering directly with the CEO and executive team.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and executing a robust financial strategy to support business expansion
• Building a high-performing finance function and mentoring a lean, agile team
• Leading the development of comprehensive management reporting and KPI dashboards
• Driving budgeting, forecasting, and utilisation analysis across the business
• Managing all statutory financial reporting, cash flow, tax, audit, controls and compliance
• Partnering with the CEO on capital management, commercial negotiations and business case analysis
• Leading the integration of acquisitions and supporting M&A planning and execution
• Implementing process automation and systems enhancements to drive scale
• Presenting insights and performance outcomes to the Board and PE stakeholders

The Expertise
You will be a strategic and commercially astute finance leader with a strong technical foundation. Experience working within a private equity environment or a high-growth services-based business will be highly regarded. Ideal backgrounds include:

• CA/CPA qualified 
• A Head of Finance or Financial Controller within a PE portfolio or high-growth professional services business
• Prior experience managing small finance teams, taking oversight of the end-to-end accounting function
• Strong reporting and analytics capability
• An ability to be hands on and in the detail 
• Deep understanding of utilisation metrics, project profitability, and performance improvement in people-based businesses
