The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior payroll professional looking to take the next step in their career in a more autonomous role within a leading ASX-listed company. The successful individual will enjoy a high level of flexibility and autonomy while working closely with a tight-knit finance team and other stakeholders. You will manage end-to-end payroll, from onboarding through to terminations, handle all month-end obligations, and reporting, while driving continuous improvement across the function.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day to day payroll for all Australian & New Zealand sites.
Alongside managing the Payroll BAU, you will identifying and implementing operational efficiencies where relevant. Your duties will include the following:
- Ensure the seamless and compliant delivery of fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Completing legislative requirements including PAYG, Payroll Tax Superannuation and WorkCover
- Support management with process improvement initiatives
- Interpret and apply awards and contracts
- Handle month and year-end processes and reporting
- Enter new starters and process terminations
- Maintain leave records and adjustments
- Respond to payroll-related queries
- Ensure the systems complies with legislation and company policies
- Work closely with P&C, Finance, and management on payroll matters
- Prepare payroll reports and documents for Finance and Operations
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- At least 7+ years of payroll experience
- Having worked on a New Zealand payroll is a must.
- An environment with responsibility for more than 200+ employees
- The desire to work in a fast-paced and complex environment
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Intermediate to advance excel skills are required
