The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving environment and work alongside a collaborative, high performing finance team in a Senior Accountant position. The duties involve both technical accounting, taxation and business partnering. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CA / CPA who is looking to develop their career in a growing, reputable business. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will be split across financial accounting and tax. An overview is included below:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple group entities.
• Prepare income tax returns, tax provisions, and indirect tax lodgements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage department P&Ls, reconcile accounts, and support financial report preparation.
• Assist with external audits, statutory reporting, and corporate governance adherence.
• Identify control deficiencies, recommend improvements, and support system enhancements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance teams to ensure smooth operations.   

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are CA / CPA qualified.
• Well versed understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Experience with income tax and indirect taxes is advantageous.  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. 
• Strong organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work both autonomously and as a team.
