The Opportunity
Superb opportunity to join a successful and growing privately owned retail company. The company is well established and seeking your expertise as they embark on the next phase of their growth. Reporting to the CFO, your remit will include driving a culture of business partnering across the ANZ finance team, shifting away from traditional reporting to an insights-driven approach, while ensuring a robust accounting function.
The role is ideally suited to an experienced Commercial Finance Manager / Controller who thrives on continuous improvement, who is looking for an exciting and fulfilling role.
The Challenge
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating board reports, business plans and insights on business drivers/KPI’s
- Providing business partnering to the MD and ELT level stakeholders
- Overseeing the production of month-end, P&L and balance sheet
- Proactively managing and improving the reporting suite (using PowerBI or similar)
- Identifying and recommending actionable insights to improve financial performance
- Designing and implementing new systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and the service provided by finance
- Overseeing the control framework for ANZ
- Leading and managing a high performing team of (6-8 direct reports), developing talent from within and empowering a strong culture of business partnering
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualification
- Ideally you have a solid financial control background followed by commercial experience managing a team of finance business partners
- You are passionate about automation and process improvements, and can provide strong examples from your previous roles
- Track record of developing a high-performing team and uplifting capability
- Ideally you have experience in the retail industry; if not, you are coming from a multi-site multi-entity business model
- Superb stakeholder management skills are a given
